I have some working code, but I need to modify a few lines. The general function is, If a BLE device crosses a threshhold of -80 RSSI which is being scanned by the ESP32 then pull GPIO 32 High, if the BLE device uncrosses the threshold (after previously crossing it). (IE the RSSI goes up above -80) then set GPIO pin 33 High. that all works great, my problem is when the BLE device is near the threshold, the ESP can trigger the GPIO between the two cases rapidly. What I need to have added or modified is to set a lower and upper RSSI threshold and only set the pins High or Low if the RSSI Threshold has been crossed for a certain amount of time, like 2 seconds.

How would you like to change a thresold? I would propose to use 2 potentiometers (for delay and thresold level), so you will be able to change those values manually on fly when device is installed on site. If you have any other ideas for it - I propose to discuss it. I have made more than 200 projects based on Arduino and ESP on different freelance stocks. I work with Arduino since 2010, with ESP32 since 2015 and have more than 25 years of experience in programming and electronics.
