Webbased File Mangement

NB: This project requires that you work via Remote Desktop! Everything will be on a server which you have to access via Remote Desktop. You won’t be able to have any files on your own computer. So, continue to read ONLY if you can work via Remote Desktop! Project Description: This is a web based file management project where files will be stored on the server and/or in the database as blobs? The web application will communicate with a database (MS SQL). The database and the entire (or most) of the user interface is already created so what is left to do is to link the functions to the database and communicate with the database. You will create classes in Visual Studio 2010 (C#.net) to communicate with the database to write into and fetch data from the database. We have used Telerik components in most places of the application so you need knowledge about that component as well. Files and some data in the database have to be encrypted so you need knowledge of encryption and decryption as well. Your tasks: • Database communication (Data Access Layer) • Encryption/Decryption of files • Some GUI development (Very little as most of the GUI is already done) • Create Resource file(s) for multi language support. We will have a voice chat via Skype or ooVoo with the freelancer whom the project is awarded to and go through the application and requirements in details. Payment will be made via many and small milestones and when every milestone is finished and accepted, money will be released to the freelancer for that milestone. You must be able to start on Monday 23 April and finish by Friday 4 May.
