The default task notification email in SharePoint Foundation 2010 is poorly formatted and confusing for the staff that are assigned tasks. Attached is a copy of the email that I would like to customise to become more intelligent and usable by the recipients of the task/email. The task is generated by a workflow that runs on a customised list and is assigned to an internal staff member to read and approve. The email should display the details of the list that is associated to the task with an option to approve directly from the email. I do not want users to have to click beyond the email that they receive to approve the task. I have been advised that this can be done but needs someone who can create a new custom task page with manual asp.net coding. I am hoping that someone will be able to assist with this small project and then also be able to help out with future customisations as they arise.

We can create the email template you want, in the that it will be easy to change in the futur without big development. The idea is using an event that is called onnotification, means when a task is created that that event will be fired and on that moment we will will specify your template. That template will be based on XSLT, and with some html knowledges you can do self some updates.
