Specification: You need to implement a position based routing protocol for vehicle ad hoc network in ns2 like GPSR routing protocol. Details: I want to implement a position based routing protocol for vehicle ad hoc network like GPSR, gpsr is using the greedy forwarding strategy which based on forward the packet to node that is closer to destination, it take under its consideration the position of each neighbour node and their direction what i want to do is to add another parameter which take two values 0 or 1 and according to that the forwarder node will select the next hop node by select the nodes that have position closer to destination than itself and have the same direction and have the value 0 for the proposed parameter . Assumptions: •We assume that the forwarding node already knows the location of destination node •Each node in the network have information about its surrounding node (neighbours nodes), such as position, speed, direction and other information as needed, by broadcasting a periodic beacon massage Note: We can call the proposed protocol enhanced GPSR (EGPSR) Through using the multi hope technique the node that hold the packet intend to forward it to an appropriate next hop node, In GPSR the forwarding node select the node that have closest position to packet‘s destination than itself According to greedy forwarding strategy without take into account the direction and other parameters In my protocol (EGPSR) the node that encounters the packet will select the next hop node according to the following condition: •Next hop Position (closest to destination than itself ): it represent a filed in the packet header •Have direction toward the destination :it represent a filed in the packet header •have a K=0 , if we know that K is a third parameter have two values (0 or 1) in case there is no node that have a K=0, then the node with highest speed will be selected The most important thing is to add the K parameter in the packet header and take it into account when the node wants to select the next hop node from its neighbour’s nodes. We need to compare the two routing protocol GPSR and EGPSR according to the following parameters: [login to view URL] delivery ratio [login to view URL] (messages) [login to view URL] to end delay

Have vast experience in network simulation using ns-2. I come from a research background and had done many complex simulation projects in ns2 with very high quality of coding and result analysis. I am new here as freelancer and If required I can share the results of my old projects to gain your confidence. Please share the papers for judging the proper bid for this project. Thanks Ankit
