I am trying to build a sine regression program for JAVA ME that returns the standard coefficients a, b, c, d for the formula "y = a+b*sin(c*x+d)" from data of sizes 5- 50 points. I have used portions of a JAVA model of the Levenberg-Marquardt decomposition and the programs returns correct coefficients sometimes; however, it fails when the data goes beyond certain bounds.
I have tried initializing the data a few different ways, but none return the correct coefficients for evey data set.
I am using the <[login to view URL]> data sets for city's annual temps as my test data sets.
Some work some do not. I have spent months trying to isolate the problem, but I can not find what is causing the program to return incorrect answers sometimes.
I am willing to send entire (sometimes)working code and would be grateful for any assistance.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
## Platform
The application will initially run on JAVA ME.
I would also like a version in C+ for iphone Apple applications.
