simple adobe illustrator plugin

Hello, I understand from this article ( [login to view URL] ) that Adobe illustrator plugins are written in C++ . I need a plugin created for illustrator that can allow the user to select specified colors, add them to a list, and then replace those colors with another specified color. It should select the objects if they are in a "group" as well, without, or course, selecting every object in the group. The flyout menu should have an option to create a default list of colors to replace. Hitting the + or − buttons should show a dialoge box where CMYK values can be added, while moving outside that dialogue should give the user an eyedropper cursor to select colors, which fills in the CMYK value, or if it is a PANTONE color value, show the pantone "PMS" color.
