I work with VB since the time of Quick Basic.
Some years ago I developed a VB6 application to capture video and images from an intraoral camera for Myotronics of dr. Jankelson, then I developed another application for rendering and real-time images acquisition from an Eco Doppler for the department of cardiac surgery of Prof. De castro.
At that time the hardware had limited capabilities compared to the software and I had to work hard to be able to operate the two devices.
Today the hardware is much more powerful, so the use of VB6 language exposes to many problems.
My advice is to work in VB.Net to capture the video stream and save the images, and then create an interface for exchanging data with your application in VB6.
I do not know the MouthWatch intraoral camera, but if it is visible in Devices and Printers of Windows I can prepare a simple test application so you can evaluate the features of my software.
