$30-250 USD

Paid on delivery
We have an existing video capture application based on directshow, programmed in Visual Basic and using the Quartz wrapper. We need to add support for the hardware capture button available on some USB cameras. The hardware developer told us to use the still capture pin via a Smart Tee or Infinite Tee filter and sent us this documentation: [login to view URL]%28v=vs.85%[login to view URL] What we expect to get delivered is a sample VB6 application displaying a live video feed via DirectShow and supporting still image capture with a button click (mouse/keyboard) or via the hardware capture button on the USB camera itself. This is a link to the camera hardware: [login to view URL]

I work with VB since the time of Quick Basic. Some years ago I developed a VB6 application to capture video and images from an intraoral camera for Myotronics of dr. Jankelson, then I developed another application for rendering and real-time images acquisition from an Eco Doppler for the department of cardiac surgery of Prof. De castro. At that time the hardware had limited capabilities compared to the software and I had to work hard to be able to operate the two devices. Today the hardware is much more powerful, so the use of VB6 language exposes to many problems. My advice is to work in VB.Net to capture the video stream and save the images, and then create an interface for exchanging data with your application in VB6. I do not know the MouthWatch intraoral camera, but if it is visible in Devices and Printers of Windows I can prepare a simple test application so you can evaluate the features of my software. If you are interested in my proposal or you need more information, feel free to contact me on Freelancer's chat, because only the employer can start the comunication with us freelancers. Best regards
