Import and Export Logistics Assistant Tasks: International logistics services for sending non-perishable products originating in the USA to Brazil. Required Skills and Experience: Prepares documents and forms to move goods efficiently through import and export steps and procedures. Review paperwork and documents to ensure shipping, handling, storage charges, and customs fees are billed correctly. Maintains a database that tracks merchandise. Processes claims on merchandise shortages and overages. Performs other duties as assigned.; Experience in handling non-perishable goods in an international logistics environment; Ability to coordinate and manage regular shipping schedules; Familiarity with import and export customs documentation; Excellent communication and organizational skills to ensure coordination with transport partners; You must know laws and regulations in the area and know how to fill out forms from United States regulatory bodies such as TSA, for example. Must have knowledge in organizing and managing shipments of goods with US airlines, as well as carrying out cargo booking, evaluating fares and complying with their requirements. Provide dedicated assistance in the following areas: Trace cargo, request warehouse receipt/packing lists from freight forwards, and electronically receive products in ERP; issue pull sheets, process back orders, create Dangerous Goods labels as required Dangerous Goods Shipments – check to ensure proper packaging and labelling of Dangerous Goods for export in accordance with US and international agencies’ regulations; issue export documentation, maintain various HAZMAT/Dangerous goods databases Freight Quotes – help to determine best shipping method for products, request air, ocean, courier or common carrier quotes; ensure quotes are correct and provide to Sales team as needed; Freight Invoice Review Sales Order Dispatch and Invoicing. Countries/Regions: USA Frequency: Weekly Others Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory. Speaking Portuguese will be considered a big plus. Knowledge of shipping regulations and policies of USA. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Knowledge in Microsoft Office and related software.
