I am a technical business analyst with 10 years experience high level SQL Server experience. I have built really similar daily in-line email reports on multiple occasions using database mail (which I can configure for you if you aren't already using it). Most of mine were for daily audit purposes though (e.g. sending venue managers a list of all refunded transactions from the previous day)! I am assuming from your description the assigned user's email is stored somewhere in the DB - would this be correct?

Indeed it is very easy task for me. do you want to email the pending task daily? or it will send the email just when it is added to the database?
