Hello I am an electronics engineer and i am interested in designing your cellphone detector system. I can deliver the design as well as the working prototype. hi , Cell phones transmit some sort of data towards the BTS after a fixed interval of time. This frequency can be 880- 910MHz, or 1710-1780Mhz or for 3 G is in the range of 2100MHz. there can be some other bands. This data transmission occur after very few minutes ( or after 10's of minutes). if we can receive this data ( signal ) from cell phone we can detect the phone presence. But this technique will take time ( because cell phone transmit signal after some time) to locate cell phone . Another solution is to make a small jammer. it will block all phoned in a specific are. when phone is jammed and after jamming signals are switched off , the phone transmit data to BTS. in this way we can force any hidden cell phone to transmit data and we can detect it.
