You should add a routine on Excel VBA to determine of cell value is number by using Regex or evaluate by using Val() function, once it is validated as number then do the cell format as number. The process would be slower if the paste text involves many cells as I will use the Cell Change event, so the VBA code would check every cell automatically. Let me know if this method OK for you. Also, please explain the second assignment, if you dont mind.

Hi kkaren, This looks pretty straightforward. I can set up a column where the numbers appear as numbers. Then you can use this formula in similar projects without having to bid. The second part - the extraction - looks like it could be done with a VLOOKUP or a script depending on your experience with VBA macros. I can make it as simply as you prefer. Thanks, cc
