Summary: This is an ideal opportunity for me to gain experience of working in a collaborative, stimulating organization with a top-notch, international multi-disciplinary environment. Responsibilities: 1. Database research and management: search, check and download data (including metadata) from various global databases. 2. Apply statistical and other methodological approaches to crunch and analyze the data collected from secondary and primary research. 3. Assess the quality, comparability and reliability of quantitative data produced by outside agencies. 4. Read widely on the countries covered by the Web Index and be able to contribute facts and figures to country briefs at relatively short notice. 5. Contribute to the development of a clear analytical framework for the Web Index. 6. Assist in the conceptualization of the research (including the selection and design of quantitative measures/indicators on topics of importance) and support the research director in a continuous search for ways to refine Index design, methodology and data. 7. Produce reliable and useful quantitative information on technology developments globally and across the Index countries, and about topics/sectors identified by the Web Index Manager. 8. Assist in documenting the uptake and impact of the Index in terms of stimulating policy dialogue and/or contributing to changes in policy at country level (across many countries).
