Fix 404 errors

Hello First of all, the 404 pages shouldn't scare you that much. It is not good to have, but it's not that bad as it sound IF the site is set up correctly to show 404 page error. Basically google will index it as 404 and sooner or later remove it from the cache and index. The reason why this error happen is usually bad linking/ on the site or from outside the site. To fix the 404 errors you can redirect them (301 redirect) to the correct page or you can find the pages that link to the missing ones and correct it there. It is far more important to correct the bad links inside the site (so you don't send the people to non-existent pages) than to try to fix and deal all the 404's The reason is if I type the address: [login to view URL] in the browser, this is not existing, so will triger a 404 error. It can be a simple typo that does the same. you can't control everything that user do or how they try to enter the site, what they remember, but you can control the site itself, and make sure there are no bad links. This type of projects are best done on hourly rates, and with the "work timer" that basically times the hours worked with the correcting links. The site should be added to webmaster tools, where you can see what's happening and also can get clues on how are the 404 (and many other) pages are generated. Hi, If the error page is being generated automatically, then you should be looking for how to prevent auto errors. And there's nothing like fixing 404 pages. Either you would have to delete reference of these pages from other pages, or use a 301 to point to a new alternative page. Or if the page exists, but showing a 404 header, we will just modify one header and it will affect other 404's. Can you provide a link to a error page ?

Hello! They are probably quoting you just that. Anyway regarding my offer - the amount is for fixing them ALL whether 80 or 5000 doesn't matter. I suspect that many of these are inter-related anyway, meaning that fixing one would most probably fix some of the others as well.
