I’m looking for someone to layout and illustrate a 8x5 x 8x5 children’s picture book (short poem already written) for me, which I’m intending to sell on Amazon KDP. The design will be 16 pages plus front and back = 18 pages (plus blank dedication page and blank end page). Each page will have one line of poem. It’s a simple rhyming story about a Christmas fairy with a mental health twist - she who is not very sparkly or happy like she should be. Aimed at 3-6 year olds. The poem mentions the frightful fairy, elves, reindeer and Santa. I imagine quite pretty, whimsical illustrations, lots of Christmas colour as well as a magical theme, but I want the characters to be funny/ full of character. I am on a very very limited budget - £80 ish maximum - as this is my first project. I don’t need this to be too complex or onerous a task for the designer … I am happy with corners being cut as long as it looks professional enough… I have tried using Canva and doing it myself but I’m not good enough with the images and graphics. I am looking for someone who I can give repeat business to as my business grows so if someone can help me out now with a cheap offer, it will benefit them in the long run.
