Plugins and javascript conflict in wordpress -need debug

I need to debug a couple of javascripts i'm using in a site. i'm using Smoothgallery from JonDesigns's site ([login to view URL]) and LightBox plugin on wordpress. As you know, prototype+scriptaculous don't coexist with mootools framework that well, so, i need to either use [login to view URL] (which uses [login to view URL] instead of mootools - still produces conflicts and doesn't have the same sleek effect) or something similar. I have integrated the scripts, but, when one's active (lightbox) the other stops working (smoothgallery), and the other way arround! I don't want to use flash, as it's not my favourite language, nor has the same sleek effect that i'm trying to implement.
