Hi , Emma here , background semiconductor engineering . Project is a basic labview vi to control pressure in a vacuum chamber . Take a voltage reading in from a vacuum guage which represents a pressure reading , compare it to a setpoint pressure , and based on the result control a motor to throttle a butterfly valve on the pumping line until the incoming pressure matches the setpoint .
The vacuum chamber will be pumping continuously and have a continous gas inlet to create the pressure . While the pressure reading can be captured through the Daq assistant , how can i setup the PID control of the motor to allow the butterfly valve throttle over and back to match the incoming pressure versus the setpoint , and hold it steady for couple minutes .
