Cosmetic Formula Correction

I'm the founder of a start-up cosmetic line that specializes in hair care products made from naturally-derived (i.e., non-synthetic) materials. We are in the product development phase, and we're looking for a cosmetic chemist who can take our formulas and description of their pros and cons and provide alternative/corrected formulas. The consultant will work directly with me, and will be expected to correct 3 formulas and provide physical samples of the corrected formulas. Must be willing to sign a NDA. Requirements: -Must have college training (preferably advanced degree) in field related to cosmetic chemistry. -Must have verifiable cosmetic formulation experience. -Must have knowledge of (and preferably certification in) organic, natural, product formulation. We are not interested in the use of synthetic (non-plant or non-animal derived) materials or those that include phthalates, formaldehyde, parabens, etc. Job Description: -Sign and submit a NDA. -Examine 3 of our hair care product formulas. -Communicate with founder regarding product issues. -Communicate with founder about your plan to revise the formulas. -Communicate which materials will be used and explain what qualities they might offer the product. -Provide three written formulas for the products and any important instructions regarding the manufacturing of the products (and safe handling of materials). -Provide 1 or more physical samples of each product (postage will be paid). For the right person, this is an opportunity to serve as an ongoing consultant for future products. The right consultant will be critical to our success.
