My dissertation topic is "Detection of Image forgery using DCT and SIFT". Now it is to be implemented in MATLAB. And frankly speaking I'm still a beginner in it and my problem is with implementation part. I'll be glad if you can help me out in any way or guide me. Please.
You will be surely aware about Detection Image Forgery.
A short summary on my topic.
- Here there are 2 techniques Block based and Key-point based to detect image forgery.
- Of which DCT is block based technique and SIFT key-point based
- On merging both the techniques one can detect all the type of forgeries. As, block based techniques lack behind to detect geometric transformation and are efficient in detecting Gaussian noise, blurring, JPEG compression etc. And key-point based techniques are simply opposite to the block based. i.e; vice versa.
- So my main motto is to merge both the algorithms so that they can detect all the types of forgeries done on an image by a single method

I've already implemented a number of algorithms from reputed journals (like IEEE) in Image Forgery. I've implemented "Robust Detection of Region-Duplication Forgery in Digital Image" which is very similar to what you want to do. I've also worked on DCT and SIFT algorithms in image forgery.
