We have an app in the iTunes App store that needs to be refactored. The app is fully functional, but we are changing the way data is being fed to it. Additionally, the app currently loads data slowly, so we want to explore methods of local storage to improve performance.
We will be handling the backend portion and exposing data to the app via web services. You'll need to implement some new UIs, and also do some programming to update the web services to consume the new data. There are essentially four areas in the app where this data will be updated. There will be no design required on your part or complex programming--this is solely data consumption and following our UI for presentation.
The current build is fully native. However, we are opening to changing the data-driven portions to use a framework like PhoneGap with SENCHA. The choice simply depends on the chosen developer's experience and recommendations.
We'll supply complete project specifications and our current build files upon awarding the project. In our experience, we estimate this project is approximately 1 week of a developer's time.
Since this app is for a major entertainment company, it is crucial that the updated release is responsive and 100% stable on older iPhones and iPods along with iPhone 4. Please consider testing and QA time when bidding. Any and all questions are welcome.
