Hi - I have some simple, untested C# code (console app) which you are required to: 1) Rewrite to improve efficiency and test that it works 2) Modify to use SharePoint web services rather than the object model You will supply a VS 2010 solution (C# console app) which accepts the following arguments: 1) Source SharePoint URL and credentials 2) Destination SharePoint URL and credentials The app will run against SharePont 2007, extract all user alerts using the alerts collection, and for each valid alert recreate in a destination environment (SharePoint 2013). If a user and / or destination list doesn't exist then it should write the results to the console window. It should also write when an alert is successfully created. You can use our example code if you like or rewrite. This is a simple piece of work which is required within 24 hours. Thanks

Can develop a custom web service on top of SharePoint that will utilize OM to read/write alerts to any list. The client application can then use the web service to manage alerts. I see that you received some offers saying that you can use the OOB alerts web service. While there is an Alert web service available in SharePoint 2007, unfortunately it only allows 2 operations: DeleteAlerts and GetAlerts.
