**Ideally, you will finish this school project before Sunday, April 11.*
The following is an outline for a college project that I have. I am having trouble with a number of issues in this project, namely: writing/reading/editing an xml file, sessionID, and randomly generating a list of exam questions.
The project has to be written in .net, using xml.
I can provide you with my design, database, screen shots and .net code that I've started so far ... but it is not necessary that you use it.
Only the requirements in the outline below are needed - nothing exceptionally brilliant or tricky. Please just use very basic code. And please comment your code. (I may have to clarify some things before you start).
Please let me know how long it will take you to do this project, and when you can finish it.
Thank you for your time.
On-line exam and marking system
Due date: April 13, 2004
READ THIS ENTIRE DOCUMENT BEFORE STARTING
The site has 3 users:
Un-authorized are simply surfers that have not signed in
Administrators will set up and review exams
Students will be able to take the exam.
Scenario: The surfer will access the first page of the site, where they will login to the system. All users will login with the SAME page/form. If an Admin, they will get a menu to add exam questions and review a completed exam. If a Student, they will be presented with an exam.
Description:
The exams will be randomly generated from a bank of questions. Each question will be worth one mark and will be multiple choice with 4 possible answers. Each question will be from one topic. Example: there may be 10 XML questions and 20 [login to view URL] questions.
Each exam will be made up of some questions from EACH topic. The number of questions for each topic will be stored in an XML file. Admins can change this content, both by adding new topics and changing the number of questions for each topic. The number of questions per topic and the number of topics is NOT fixed!!!!
