Database Populator from COM Interface to PostgreSQL Database

**Purpose**: To open files listed in a directory one-by-one through COM, read data about each file after it has been opened, populate a database with the data which was read, and close the file. **Resources**: We have included some c++ source code here as an attachment which the employee can use to help them access the software through COM. This means the access to the variables is simple and easy. **Environment**: Worker will use Employer's environment which consists of Windows Server 2003, PostgreSQL 9.x, PHP (5.1.6) or Microsoft C++. The environment is already setup on a development server, so the employee will not need to own the proprietary softwares associated with this project. ## Deliverables The attachment contains some source code so that you can see how we are accessing this software application through COM. This should make it significantly easier for one to work on this project because all of the code is already there to open the file through COM. One just needs to iterate through the properties of variables and the nested variables and then send that data to a DB. See attached document for functional requirements description of project.
