Keyboard Input hook

Revised proposal: * I am looking for someone to code a simple windows application that will act as a Input method Editor or in other words "Keyboard Layout Switch " it will hook keystrokes to input unicode characters for a foreign language. The program will startup with windows and rest in the Quick-Launch tray & ready for use. When the user wishes to type using the special keyboard layout, they will right click on the icon in the quick launch tray and select the option to start typing in foreign language (sort of like a MS windows language bar, the problem with microsoft windows language bar is that it is too clumsy and does not work on windows 98. *As incentive to keep the price low, I will keep the programmers name on the program as the developer for portfolio purposes, I just want to hold license to it and I wish to supply the images for the splash screen and application icon. I will supply the images, logos, keyboard layout source file later to who ever is selected to work on this. * The most important part of this project is that it needs to be able to work on Windows 98, ME, 2K, & XP * The language that this will support is Laotian. (Microsoft Windows has not implemented this language into the operating system's encoding yet. So that means if I were to use the program you are developing to try and name a windows file it would not work, that is ok because I only need it to be able to input "Lao unicode characters" into windows applications like Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer, basically programs that already support unicode.) * The file attached is a sample of the program that this project is based on. It is only one .exe file and one .dll file. You can extract it to any location and it will still work. In order to use it, you will need the font installed on your PC, I have included the font with the package. But I will need the install package of this program to install the font in the %fontdir% automatically to users PCs. Also I will provide the new keyboard layout source code later. This program will be free to the users (my people) so I am not looking to spend that much, but not scared to spend more for quality and quickness. Please respond with how much time it will take and any adjustments to you bid price if any. Also if you can provide samples of anything that you have done that is similar. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform must work on Windows 98, ME, 2k and XP ! For your information. Lao is similar to the Thai language. but one section down the unicode chart.
