Redesign and re-code my current company website, which is visible at [[login to view URL]][1]. The current site was written with Frontpage -- although this is not a requirement for the new site.
I would like generally the same layout and information displayed (same overall appearance) with the following modifications:
- The new site should appear identically when using Internet Explorer, Opera, Safari, Mozilla, or Netscape browsers. Right now it appears correctly only with Explorer.
- The new site should be more interactive -- text on buttons might change color or font when the mouse is over it, etc.
- Also there will be some small design changes, mainly trying to incorporate more photos on the various pages. As it is now, there are some small duotone photos on the main page, and photos on the portfolio pages only. I would like to work in maybe one photo on each of the other pages somewhere.
- On the main page, I would like for the three duotone photos to change content as you sit and look at them -- they would remain blue, green, and yellow as shown, but the blue one would fade out to be replaced by a different blue photo, and same with the others, in a rotating pattern. Some sort of flash animation is probably needed here.
- I would like to be able to maintain the site myself in a few simple ways -- for instance, on the "portfolio" page I will need to be able to update the page, add or remove projects, etc. without getting into complicated programming. If there is a way to make this as simple as possible (while meeting the other design requirements) then that is what is needed.
- Any other design suggestions would be appreciated as well.
- The main goals are compatibility with all browsers, a better, more professional appearance, and ease of maintenance.
