I need a quick linux monitor program that can check if a C compiled service developed by another RAC coder has stopped, and restart it if it has stopped - the service is buggy, and we have not thought a way to fix the bug. On restart, the solution should record such an event in a log file. I must be able to start/stop this monitor program via web interface. A ready made open source solution is preferred.
