fix magento pagination problem

I need the pagination on my magento 1.4 fixed. It's a well known problem and issue on the magento forums, and requires some altering of the template files. If you have used magento 1.4 before you probably already know about this issue. The website in question is w w w . c a r s c a n . b e When you go into deeper categories, the pagination disappears. I'm running a custom theme called environs.
