Dear Freelancer We are looking to hire a freelancer who could create an online ordering system, which would also allow us to take orders inside the store. Please read the requirements. Three types of users will be using the system • Customers • Staff • Management Customers 1. Be able to place orders online and pay cash or by credit card. 2. Be able to customise their dishes by adding or removing toppings. 3. Be able to add comments to their orders. 4. Receive order confirmation once the order has been accepted and update them with the expected delivery time via e-mail. 5. One page website! All the other pages should load within the same page. 6. Be able to contact us. 7. Be able to login. 8. Be able to view their last order and reorder the last order. 9. Be able to enter promotional codes. 10. Be able to search their address using the UK postcode system. Staff 1. Be able to accept or reject an online order. 2. Be able to sign in and log out. 3. Be able to take orders utilising the system via telephone. 4. Be able to take orders from the walking in customers. 5. Be able to select the type of order (Delivery, Collection, Takeaway, Online). 6. Be able to search a customer by phone number, name, address, and postcode. 7. Be able to edit, reprint and cancel the orders. 8. Be able to apply discount on orders. Management 1. Be able to access all areas of the website. 2. Be able to get reports on sales (Weekly, monthly, annually and customised periods. (Reports on the number of orders, areas, items, time of orders) 3. Be able to get reports on specific customers. (For instance customers who did not order during last 10 days) 4. Be able to send promotional e-mails. 5. Be able to add or delete staff, customers and orders from the system. 6. Be able to generate promotional codes. 7. Be able to review the edited, cancelled and discounted orders. 8. Be able to download the customer data as an excel format file. (For instance customer addresses for mail promotions). 9. Be able to update the prices, add or remove items, promotions 10. Preferably be bale to send promotional SMS to searchable customers. System must be able to notify staff when an online order is placed without constantly checking for e-mails. Print the orders via a receipt printer. The receipt must have date, time, number, address and phone number of the customer and print the assistant name that has taken the order. Cosmetic side of the website should be updatable. Its vital that the website is user friendly and yet elegant. I would like to view your previous work. The website must be responsive to mobile and tablets.

Hay mate, Lets be realistic, you really arent going to get a good, or probably even functional, script for $750. This isnt a quick week of work, and I doubt you would be happy with the first try at the script that someone does at this price. The script itself is a chance for your company to really show itself off to the public, and may often be the first point of contact between you and your customer if you engage in online adverting. The cost of losing potential customers to a terrible script is really something you need to take into consideration when you ask for something as detailed and as intricate as you have. By the looks of your brief, you are looking for the be all and end all software for a moderate to large size company, and you simply arent going to get that within your budget. Anyway, if you want to have someone actually build you some proprietary software that will both do the job you want it to do, and function completely, then I think maybe we should talk further. The simple facts of your proposed script is that it is going to take me about a month and a half to actually build a functional prototype, probably a week or so of tweaking and testing, followed by another 2-3 months of implementation and further tweaking. That said, $5000 USD is my bid for your project considering the time it will take me to build the functional prototype from scratch using completely custom code. Best of luck with your project. Alex
