Solve problem with Wordpress esty-style website - images scaling to 50 pixles

I have 2 problems. 1. The front page product images on our new [login to view URL] are too small. they are scaling down to 50 x 50 pixels even though the store settings are different - the commands are not responding. The settings of thumbnail, custom, medium or large (on the presentation page of the store settings/admin) do not work. Could be a caching issue but I am unable to solve it. May need to remove some cache lines in the FTP folders, but this is out of my area of skill. I need the final look of the website/product image size to be the same as on etsy.com. (approx. 180 pixel I think?)
