I am writing to express my interest in working with you as a virtual assistant. I have a diverse background and have had experience both as a virtual and personal assistant.
With a degree in behavioral science, I began my career as a newspaper reporter, where I was cross-trained to edit, proofread and lay out sections of each edition. These skills all proved invaluable when I later transitioned into marketing for a large foodservice supplier in New England. In this capacity, I helped organize two multi-million dollar trade shows each year, worked with 75+ salespeople and about 200 food suppliers and brokers, spearheaded our employee newsletter, ran and tracked sales promotions and created PowerPoint and video presentations.
I have been freelancing on a full-time bases for nearly four years and can credit my success with maintaining a high level of communication and confidentiality while being extremely disciplined in my home office.
I am proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher, with a working knowledge of Access. I am also well-versed in Adobe InDesign and Acrobat as well as PowerDirector 11 and CRM databases.
