Sharepoint 2010 Admin expert to backup and restore to new server

I have different methods to migrate SharePoint Sites between environments. It could be directly exporting from Central Admin or through power shell scripting. We can also try doing the job with sql server databases, backuping them and restoring in the new server. Well, it depends on the size and features of the solution. If you have more details, please let me know It's necessary that the environments are the same version of SharePoint and and updated with the same hot fixes or Service Packs. I migrated a entire MOSS 2007 to a new SharePoint 2010 environment, using these resources successfully. Thanks. Gastón
