RMSystems is looking for an individual or company to guide us in moving two products to the cloud. One product is an API, the other is an application. We may move forward with both of the products, one of the products or neither of the products. Both products are currently written in VB6 and running on the Windows platform. The cloud products will still utilize VB6 with all programming for the applications done by RMSystems. We are looking for technical expertise in moving to the cloud. This would include suggestions on host system, shopping cart, authentication, etc. Our database of choice is MySQL. The products are: Web API RESTful based Pricing based on number of prepaid API requests per month. Something similar to cell phone plans. Probably have 3-4 different plans for number of API requests per month with billing for additional requests over plan usage. Use MySQL to track usage for companies and users. Allow multiple users per company. Interface between shopping cart and user database. Some method for companies to inquiry/report usage. Cloud Application Monthly subscriptions with plan for one user, three users, five users, etc. Authentication?? Use MySQL for company data. Probably need a separate database for each company?? Data to be maintained on the cloud. Database design would be by RMSystems based on current local database.
