We are looking for capable freelancers who can create a rental system on Filemaker for music equipment. The system must be able to accept scanned items, let us have an inventory, calculate totals, allow printing and e-mailing of the invoices/receipts as well as allow us to create a profile of customers with their pictures (taking a picture using a webcam that will automatically be attached to the profile) and IDs (we should be able to upload and keep the ids). The rental system must also alert us and also allow sending e-mails for items that are late or are due in X days (easy way to track these). The system must not allow the rental of the same item if it's already rented out and should allow us to see the return date. If you have another idea or a good system (without monthly fees), we can also accept that. Thank you!

Hi, I am 8+ years experienced in FileMaker development. 1. How do you manage the rental details currently? (Excel or paper based system) Can you share them for reference? 2. Scanned items - Do you mean barcode scan? 3. If a specific item has 10 count, do you want have a mechanism to identify each item individually like serial number or something? 4. FileMaker is one of the nice systems for this project. You can see the application quickly when compare to other tools. 5. To share the application between more than 5 users, FileMaker server is needed. If you have less than 5 users, you can share it using FileMaker Pro itself.
