Hello...I have been working with text in DX11... I use the windows API to generate ANY text with ANY font and size (also Italic and Bold). Then the image is loaded into GPU as a texture.... I display the texture with 2 triangles (using texture mapping), but preserving the aspect ratio. So, I know how to do it. Also, I think, lines and rectangles can be done!. I am expert in OpenGL, dx11, JOGL, WebGL and most of 3D API. I have PhD in graphics computing. Best regards!
