Let me know if it is feasible for you: As you are using some of the latest tools and technology then you can also use SSRS technology to develop all your reports. I will call these SSRS report from your UI (asp.net) using report viewer control. This will help you to provide export functionality to users in multiple format. Not only that....the formatting and look and feel will be littler better. Let me know if you are ok to discuss further. I am ready to do in both way. First i will need to understand the structure of the dababase where i will be getting the data from is it in one table or different tables. then i will design the reports templates if one does not exist. From there i will write scripts to query data from the database and display it to the user, this is where we will capture various parameters such as Date, Age, Occupation. Finaly Intergrate reports to exisiting system.
