My company has been running multiple servers on XenServer 6.2 for quite a while without difficulty. Recently, a power failure took down the server and required an fsck to be run on the disks. This was done after considerable work. I was left with a XenServer with no local storage and no virtual machines. I have, I believe, recovered the SR named "Local storage". But still no virtual machine definitions. I am extremely concerned about doing much of anything blindly on this because loss of the virtual machines is going to be pretty bad. I've downloaded the latest Openmediavault and installed it on a Dell Optiplex 780. I used a USB stick as the boot device for this OS and the Dell's hard disk as the data storage device. I configured it with shares for both CIFS and NFS using the web-based setup utility, connecting from my browser on a newer Dell running Ubuntu 22.04. I had previously installed both CIFS and NFS packages. However, both of my attempts to mount the shares (CIFS and NFS) failed.
