Hello,
For the hosting of several websites and mail, we're currently using a CentOS 6 server. Since official support for CentOS 6 is going EOL by this year, a new virtual server has been ordered to replace the server.
Goal of this project is to support with the setup of a new CentOS 8 Linux server, more specific:
- CentOS is pre-installed delivered on the virtual machine.
- Configuration OS: setup of local users, firewall, patching/updates, SSH, local server backup.
(and other areas to be advised by freelancer)
- Webservice/LAMP stack for multiple websites: Apache/MySQL/PHP/Perl/Python
- security setup/configuration virtual hosts (certificates, SSL configuration, configure ciphers etc)
- Installation/configuration SMTP/IMAP mail server: Qmail/Simscan/Vpopmail/Dovecot (including patching)
- configured with ESET Mail Security for antivirus and antispam (license available)
- setup of SSL, including certificates, ciphers, DKIM, SURBL & SPF enabled.
- Testing mail/web services
- Document installation/configuration
Please note the following before proposing a bid:
- I have installed/configured the current server myself. I am looking for a freelancer with advanced sysadmin skills in the products mentioned above to support with installation. (because of time constraints, and not having in depth expertise of all areas needed)
- For this project, we will plan one or multiple timeslots to work together on installation via remote connection (eg. Teamviewer)
- Providing examples of similar project/tasks you have worked on are considered a plus.
- Proposals that include specific advice on how you would approach this project are considered a plus.
- Proposals to install a different product solution will be valued, though *only* when included with reason and plan of existing product migration. Please note that skill requirement for existing products is still mandatory!
Thanks!
