ROLE Finance Administrative Specialist *WHAT'S COOL ABOUT THIS JOB* The Finance Administrative Specialist is the department’s “jack of all trades”. The position directly interacts with the Financial Controller and has daily administrative duties related to: Accounting, Banking, Records, Accounts Payable and Receivable. The Administrative Assistant plays a critical partnership with the management team where you will find supportive leadership, a committed staff and an engaging work culture. Typical duties of the Administrative Assistant include: • Supports management team with accounting responsibilities such as reconciliation of multiple bank accounts, creditor statements and other expense systems and assists with the review of GL expenses for accuracy. • Manage, create and send invoices. • Converting PDF files to Excel. • Works independently and within a team on non-recurring and ongoing projects. • Maintains confidentiality of all personnel and company matters. • Perform other related duties as assigned or required *BRING THE PASSION AND EXPERTISE* The Administrative Assistant is a rock-star organiser and love jumping in to solve any problem that arises. Here are some additional skills that we think will make for a great Administrative Specialist: • Experience in a retail or office environment • Minimum of 3+ years accounting experience • Degree in Accounting and CPA Qualified (or equivalent) • Experience with Australian Accounting System • Microsoft Word and Excel experience is essential • Experience in the use of Xero accounting software is an advantage • Experience in the use Retail Express is an advantage but not essential. • Strong Analytical and numerical skills. • Exceptional research skills and ability to interpret and explain findings to other staff. • Demonstrated commitment to quality customer service • Proven ability to manage competing priorities • Proven ability to show attention to detail • Effective communication skills - clear, concise and positive. • Demonstrated personal effectiveness and interest in developing own skills and knowledge *THE DETAILS* • Start date: ASAP • Employment type: Permanent full-time with 3 months probationary period Work Schedule: Monday to Friday between 7:00 am to 3:30pm Philippine Time (plus 30 min break) • Reporting to: Financial Controller • Industry: Retail • Starts at $6 AUD per hour (Approximately Php 30,000 monthly base salary) • Full-time, dayshift (40 hours a week) • Paid vacation and sick leaves • Paid holidays • Annual performance appraisals • Incentive bonuses *TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS* • Windows desktop or laptop with at least Windows 7 operating system installed or a Mac laptop or desktop with at least OS 10.8 installed. • Working headset with microphone. • A wired Internet connection (Broadband DSL) with Internet speed of at least 2mbps • A backup internet connection (pocket Wi-Fi or USB dongle mobile broadband) • A quiet working environment • Must be located in a metropolitan area with very rare power interruptions. *THE NEXT STEP* If you can relate to this unique opportunity on all levels; apply today with a short cover letter and updated resume.
