You’ll be responsible for doing the following: Translating simple conversational phrases from English to Cantonese Translating simple conversational phrases from English to Mandarin Listening to a simple some Cantonese News, making a transcript of that news (in Cantonese), and briefly summarizing the news content in English Build some Chinese Vocabulary and Grammar Flashcards (training on how to build the flashcards will be provided on the job, and it’s easy. Your job will be to mainly to ensure accuracy of the grammar and vocabulary in the cards. Communicating and searching the Mainland Chinese Internet for suppliers of specific furniture and household equipment. Other ad-hoc task as required. This is a Remote position. You’ll have the choice to work at your home in your Pyjamas, in a park with your dog, or in a small cafe. As long as you get the work done, you can work from anywhere. Basic Requirements Native Cantonese speaker (from Greater Bay Area). Advanced Mandarin proficiency skills. Good command of English. Fast Learner. Proven track record of continuous learning and improvement. Enjoys solving complex problems and finding efficient solutions within allocated time frame. Bachelor’s Degree in related disciplines. Outstanding Communication skills in both written and spoken Cantonese, Mandarin and English. Ideal Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Humanities related field Amazing track record of flexibility and using unconventional ways to get things done. Outstanding time management and prioritization skills, combined with the ability to work remotely from home. Can start working as soon as possible.
